We are currently accepting nominations for our prestigious awards that will be presented at the New Jersey Heart Ball on May 15, 2025. Please take the time to nominate one or more exceptional and deserving individuals or organizations.

Each year at the New Jersey Heart Ball, we honor the very best that embodies the mission of the American Heart Association. The New Jersey Heart Ball celebrates outstanding contributions and achievements in cardiovascular and stroke research, care, health, as well as community involvement and impact.

New Jersey Heart Ball Award Nomination

Humanitarian with Heart Award: Awarded to an outstanding person who is a dedicated volunteer and/or philanthropist promoting our mission of building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke and/or making exceptional contributions to community health.Physician of the Year: Awarded to a physician, nominated by peers or patients, who has made a sustained and positive impact on their patients’ lives and is dedicated to fighting heart disease and/or stroke.Community Impact Award: Awarded to an outstanding corporation, company or organization which is dedicated to our mission of building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular disease and stroke. They may encourage employees to live the mission with heart-healthy initiatives such as promoting and learning Hands-Only CPR, National Move More Day, the National Eat Smart observance, or by being a Well-being Works Better program participant. The nominee should demonstrate outstanding community support and involvement impacting the health and wellbeing of the community and its residents.Researcher of the Year Award: Awarded to a researcher who is performing cutting edge research in the field of cardiovascular health and science, impacting heart disease and/or stroke.Lifetime Achievement Award: Awarded to an individual who has dedicated their career to ﬁghting heart disease and stroke and to building healthier communities.

Award Judging

All nominations will be reviewed by the volunteer committee of the American Heart Association representing healthcare, business, industry, civic affairs, and others. Decisions of the panel are final.
